Jai Young Choi | 2010｜Fiction｜Color｜HD(Beta)｜30min

SYNOPSIS

This is a story about two Korean guys in different generations in the U.S. Forced to bear each others company as a driving teacher and student, they find it difficult to understand each other at first. An extended road trip, however, gives them a chance to get a glimpse at their mutual loneliness and make unexpected connections.

DIRECTING INTENTION

My name is Jai Young Choi. I am currently getting my MFA from the Film Directing Program at CalArts(California Institute of The Arts).
I have been working on developing a hybrid genre that fuses narrative film making with documentary style.
This is a mini road movie, which combines improvisational directing style with conventional film making methods.
