SIFF2021 International Invitation

‘The Hottest Names in Contemporary Japanese Cinema’

International Invitation introduces a total of six films in the name of the Hottest Names of Contemporary Japanese Cinema. It will present the aspect of creative and liberal attempts by recent Japanese films. Above all, the first talent is Hamaguchi Ryusuke. In addition to the screening, we have prepared a special talk with director Hamaguchi. Miyake Sho is creating a new resonance in the Japanese Cinema. Igarashi Kohei, who was a Suwa Nobuhiro’s disciple, is also unusual. Mariko Tetsuya’s odd cinematic world is also remarkable. We will not be able to tell the present of Japanese Cinema except for them.
