SYNOPSIS

It takes 4 and half hours to sing the whole ‘batang’of , a famous story of Pansori. Soo-Bum’s father, who was crazy about singing but himself couldn’t do it, induces his 6-year-old son to do it. After the lapse of 6 years, Soo-Bum has mastered and is now leaving his mentor singer Lee Yim Rae, who has taught him singing since his childhood, to learn from the maestro Cho Sanghyun.
In performance that he started at his age of 3, Sungryul has sung Pansori learned by ear from his alcoholic grumbling father. Now, he is a ‘real performer’, rather than a kid, with granny fans all over the country. His father is often drunk and violent, but he is still the only one family to Sungryul. To him, singing is the shield with which he keeps his relation with his father.

""One Father who wholly projects his ‘might-be and unrealized’ dream on his son, and another who holds and hands over his ‘misled and might-not-be’ dream to his son"" There are two boys who sing ‘Pansori’, Korean traditional folk song that is once popular but is neglected by the contemporary audience. The lives and the places of two boys’from are totally different, but they sing the same song, and to each of them, the fathers exist as an absolute being. is the story about two boys who share Pansori, and about their hope, fear, and growth in it. For 2 years, the camera tracksthe precious moments, just beside them, while they have a hard time between their fathers who risk everything to their boys and the voice which requires their whole lives.
