SYNOPSIS
A disabled person was killed when he fell from a platform of Oido Station in 2001. After this accident, Solidarity of the Disabled to Obtain the Mobility Right suggested to build plans for mobility rights for the disabled, but the related government departments only shift their responsibility. The policy for free shuttles for the disabled only divides the disabled from society, which is only window dressing.
DIRECTING INTENTION
The right of mobility is one of the fundamental rights for human beings to live in this world. But why did some people occupy buses and tie their bodies to ladders and chains in the middle of Gwanghwamun intersections? This film is a report of the battle of Solidarity of the Disabled to Obtain the Mobility Right, documenting the hunger strike at the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.
