SYNOPSIS

Yeon Young-seok is a singer, activist and cultural laborer. His music consoles the fatigue of many people who live in the cruel neo-liberalist world and at the same time composes his own tiring life and reality. As he consoles the world, however, Yeon chose music as his strong motive to live his life which regulates his reality. In this contradictory reality which he feels pain and also consoles, he walks into the world and reflects himself on a condition of winning. Let us listen to his music in his studio, in his one bedroom apartment and on the street. And let us picture what the victory that we need for us is, instead of convicting a victory.

DIRECTING INTENTION

There have been the laborers who go forward with arms around each other’s shoulders and who strongly raise their arms and sing the songs of strikes with one voice. Now, however, we cannot but accept and face a situation that the laborers are not the one instead of feeling the shudders from the one group. So, we now face a reality that the conviction of laborers’winning becomes as empty as loud music. Recording the sad reality of laborerswho are beaten and pulled, I try to thinkhow to share their hopes through labor activities who overcome their hard reality instead of stating contemptible hopes. As an initiative, we project the ‘Ultimate Victory’ with a pledge of ‘the final victory will be mine.’
