SYNOPSIS

Wizdan lives in the rural village of Sebastia. Both their parents are olive farmers. With the expansion of Israeli settlements, Wizdan's and Nidal's parents are losing their farmland, but the problem is not theirs alone. They struggle to guard their land despite repeated humiliation, and the film focuses on the resistance of such ordinary Palestinians including Wizdan's family.

DIRECTING INTENTION

Palestine disappeared from the world map with the founding of Israel in 1948. Living under Israeli occupation for 69 years, Palestinians live lives that are torn and isolated, just as the separation wall is tearing apart their land. Through the lives of ordinary Palestinians who tenaciously hang on to life in the face of prolonged occupation, I wanted to ask about peace. Palestinians have lived peacefully despite the co-existence of different religions. By portraying the daily lives of Palestinians that even constant surveillance and violence have failed to stop, I wanted to show the Palestine of today.
