At my grandmother’s home, I found a small trail shaped like a bullet hole. I asked my grandmother about it and she answered with an impressive story plainly. I had not thought about the history of my family deeply, and her answer made me feel curious about her life.

Wondering how Gwangju has been through its history for almost more than 30 years, I tried to recall my grandmother’s sincere moment wandering between the efforts to make it ‘the heroic legend’ and ‘just a riot’.
