SYNOPSIS
DIRECTING INTENTION

SYNOPSIS
Minchan and Sohee visit several homes in search of a place to live together. They move through a house that seems quiet but is filled with the noise of passing trains, a home marked by the traces of an elderly woman living alone, and an apartment full of the everyday clutter of a family with a child. Eventually, they arrive at an apartment said to overlook a royal tomb. The “royal-tomb view,” described as something of special value, can only be seen by stepping up onto a stool.
Back at home, the couple thinks over the places they have seen that day. Little by little, they come to realize that what matters is not the conditions outside the window, but the life that continues within it. In the end, Minchan and Sohee move into the first house they visited, Hoeryong Villa, and begin filling it with their own everyday life.
DIRECTING INTENTION
I came to think that choosing a home is not simply about finding a space with good conditions, but about imagining the life that will continue within it. As Minchan and Sohee visit different homes, they encounter traces of different lives: a house that seems quiet but carries the noise of passing trains, a home marked by the presence of an elderly woman living alone, an apartment filled with the everyday clutter of a family with a child, and finally an apartment whose view of a royal tomb is described as something of special value.
This film follows two people who begin by looking at the conditions outside the window, but gradually turn their attention to the life that will continue inside. Through their search for a place where they can live together, even if it is not perfect, I wanted to quietly explore where the true value of a home comes from.
