SYNOPSIS
날씨가 화창한 어느 날, 매일 집에만 붙어 계신 할아버지를 모시고 소풍에 나선다. 하지만 어쩐 일인지 할아버지는 오늘따라 영 말씀이 없으시다. 이야기를 걸어 봐도 통 답을 들을 수 없는 할아버지. 집으로 돌아오는 길, 할아버지는 한 성당을 가리키며 아기들과의 추억 보따리를 한아름 풀어놓기 시작한다.
DIRECTING INTENTION
당신의 가족을 온몸으로 지탱하며 자식들을 위해 세월을 살아오신 할아버지가, 구멍이 송송 난 연근을 닮아 있다고 생각했다. 크고 작은 구멍들 속 할아버지께서 간직해 오던 소중한 추억들을 고스란히 작품에 담고자 하였다.

SYNOPSIS
On a bright, sunny day, I go on a picnic with my grandfather, who rarely leaves the house. However, for some reason, he is unusually silent today. No matter what I say, he barely answers. On the way back home, my grandfather points to a cathedral and begins to unpack a whole bundle of memories of his children when they were little.
DIRECTING INTENTION
I thought of my grandfather—who supported our family with his entire being and lived through the years for his children—as resembling a lotus root full of holes. Through this work, I sought to capture the precious memories he has kept within those holes of various sizes.
