SYNOPSIS
대관람차의 움직임을 다양한 관점에서 묘사한다. 대관람차의 운동은 때때로 중력을 거스른다.
DIRECTING INTENTION
1893년 시카고 만국 박람회에 등장한 대관람차는 프랑스 에펠타워의 기술력에 대항하기 위해 미국의 발명가 페리스가 고안한 기계장치이다. 박람회 이후 이 거대한 기계장치는 다른 장소를 전전하다 애물단지 취급을 받게 되었다. 그 구조적 특징 때문에 저점과 고점을 오가는 시각적 경험차가 발생한다. 영화는 필름 스틸 카메라로 촬영 후, 생성형 인공지능이 그 이미지를 입력받아 출력한 영상으로 재구성하였다. 동시대 서구 문명의 최고 기술을 활용한 영상은 때때로 오류를 일으킨다.

SYNOPSIS
The film portrays the movement of the Ferris wheel from a variety of perspectives. At times, its motion defies gravity.
DIRECTING INTENTION
The Ferris wheel, which made its debut at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, was a mechanical device conceived by the American inventor George Washington Gale Ferris Jr. to rival the technological prowess of the Eiffel Tower in France. After the Exposition, this colossal machine was moved from place to place until it came to be treated as a burden. Because of its structure, the wheel creates a difference in visual experience as it travels between its lowest and highest points. The film was shot with a still film camera, and the images were then fed into a generative AI, whose output was used to reconstruct them as moving images. Made with the most advanced technology of contemporary Western civilization, the footage occasionally produces errors.
