SYNOPSIS
16살 소피아는 반 친구들의 졸업영상을 만든다. 한국어를 쓰는 학교와 러시아어를 쓰는 집을 오가며 친구들의 얼굴을 캠코더에 담지만, 정작 자신은 늘 카메라 뒤에 있다. 합창 연습을 찍다 한국어 발음에 서툰 니카와 가까워지는 사이, 졸업이 다가온다.
DIRECTING INTENTION
이주배경아동을 대표하는 인물을 만들기보다, 직접 만난 아이들의 생동감을 담고 싶었다. 친구와 장난치고, 부모와 다투고, 미래를 고민하는 아이들의 하루를 따라간다. 이 아이들에게도 자신을 닮은 주인공이 나오는, 자기만의 성장영화가 있었으면 한다.

SYNOPSIS
Sofiya, in her final year of middle school, is making a graduation video for her class. Moving between her Korean-speaking school and Russian-speaking home, she captures her classmates’ faces on a camcorder but always stays behind the camera herself. As she films choir practice and grows close to Nika, who struggles with Korean pronunciation, graduation draws near.
DIRECTING INTENTION
Rather than creating a character who represents all children with migrant backgrounds, I wanted to capture the vitality of the children I met. The film follows their everyday lives as they joke with friends, argue with parents, and worry about the future. I hope they, too, can have a coming-of-age film of their own, with a protagonist they recognize themselves in.
