SYNOPSIS
출산을 앞둔 연인이 병실 침대에 마주 누워 이런저런 수다를 떤다. 그런데 텔레비전에서 흘러나오는 재난 뉴스와 진통이 겹치며, 이들의 상상은 점차 현실을 뒤흔든다.

“이런 세상에 아이를 낳는다는 것, 과연 희망일까?”
지금의 청년 세대는 역사상 가장 많은 정보를 소비하면서도, 가장 큰 불확실성을 견디며 살아가고 있습니다. 동시에, 가장 아이를 낳지 않는 세대이기도 합니다.
전쟁과 재난, 기후 위기, 혐오와 분열, 가짜 뉴스, 너무 빠르게 발전하는 AI기술… 우리는 이 모든 것을 이제 일상의 일부로 받아들이고 있습니다. 이런 세상에서 아이를 낳는다는 건 과연 어떤 의미일까요?"

SYNOPSIS
While an expectant couple whispers to each other in a hospital room, a catastrophic news report breaks on the television. As contractions kick in, their surreal imaginings start to fracture their sense of reality.
DIRECTING INTENTION
"To give birth in a world like this—can we really call it hope?" Today’s young people consume more information than any generation in history while living with the greatest uncertainty. At the same time, in South Korea, we are the generation most reluctant to have children. Wars, disasters, the climate crisis, hatred and division, fake news, and AI technology advancing all too rapidly... we now accept all of these as a part of our daily lives. In such a world, what significance does the act of giving birth truly hold?
