SYNOPSIS
DIRECTING INTENTION

SYNOPSIS
Ten-year-old Jemin once used deepfakes to exploit a classmate. When a street interview he happened to give goes viral and passes a hundred thousand views, the video is edited to make him say things he never said, turning him into a “woke young right-winger.” Objectified without consent and dragged onto the adults’ battlefield, Jemin is cut up, composited, and taken apart piece by piece...
DIRECTING INTENTION
In an era where AI and deepfakes are commonplace, both perpetrators and victims like Jemin will soon grow up to lead our society, many still clinging to the delusion that it was "just a prank" because "nothing happened.” We need to ask more questions, talk more, and reach more agreement about the human responsibility hiding behind the technology, and about the choices of the people who wield it.
