SYNOPSIS

Bryan Sunhee Lee, a father living in California, embarks on a cross-country road trip to Ohio to come out to his daughter. Along the way, he plans to share his hidden truth with old friends scattered across the nation. Can he endure the emotional weight of coming out again and again? And will he finally reach his ultimate destination—revealing his true self to his daughter?

DIRECTING INTENTION

How much courage does it take for an LGBTQ+ person to share their sexual orientation with the world? Here is a man who, for decades, kept his sexuality hidden from his family and friends. Only late in life did he finally find the courage to come out. This documentary follows him as he sets out on a long journey to do just that. Along the way, there is humor and, at times, tears; there are people with differing positions and perspectives; and there are the vast landscapes of America. We invite you to join us on this journey.
