SYNOPSIS
경상도의 한 지역 방송국 KBN — ‘오 기자의 수첩’, 1996년, 미방영분. 어느 날 밤, 산 중턱에서 정체를 알 수 없는 기이한 소리가 들린다는 제보가 들어온다. 기자 오대주와 카메라맨은 그 소리의 정체를 확인하기 위해 함께 산을 오른다. 그들이 산 위에서 마주한 것은 과연 무엇이었을까? 그리고 또 하나의 미방영 인터뷰를 통해 산 아래에서 홀로 평생을 살아온 한 노인에 대해 들려준다. 죽는 날까지 말들과 함께했던 그가 남긴 마지막 이야기.
DIRECTING INTENTION
‘AI로 만들어보고 싶은 그림은 무엇인가'라는 고민에서 출발했다. 현실에서는 찍을 수 없는 장면을 가장 효과적으로 표현할 형식으로 90년대 지역방송의 투박한 화면을 택했고, 그 안에 사람과 동물 사이에 오가는 정을 그렸다. 유쾌한 소동극의 외형 아래, 시간이 흘러도 옅어지지 않는 그리움에 대한 이야기를 담고 싶었다.

SYNOPSIS
KBN, a local television station in Gyeongsang Province — “Reporter Oh’s Notebook,” 1996, unaired cut. Following a tip about a strange, unidentified sound heard on a mountainside at night, reporter Oh Dae-ju and his cameraman climb the hill together. What did they find up there? And then the last interview, never broadcast either: an old man who lived alone at the foot of that mountain, raising his horses like his own children until the day he died.
DIRECTING INTENTION
This film began with a simple question: what image would I most want to create with AI? I chose the rough look of 1990s local television as the most effective form for expressing scenes that could never be filmed in reality, and within it I portrayed the bond between people and animals. Beneath the surface of a lighthearted caper, I wanted to tell a story of longing that does not fade with time.
