SYNOPSIS

SYNOPSIS
On March 28, 1953, a small Mongolian mare named Reckless made 51 trips in a single day, carrying 386 shells — nearly four tons of ammunition. She made most of those trips alone, and was wounded twice that day. Once an ordinary racehorse named “Ahchimhae,” she became the war hero known as Reckless, rising through the ranks from corporal to sergeant. Decades later, in 1997, LIFE magazine named her one of America’s 100 Greatest Heroes. A story of one horse and the people who remember her — a story that lives on, even as time passes.
DIRECTING INTENTION
This film is an AI-made adaptation of the true story of Sgt. Reckless, a hero of the Korean War. Horses are prey animals that bolt at the slightest sound. I wanted to know how, across history, such a creature could walk into a battlefield under a hail of arrows—and even into fire. This film is my portrait of the friendship that grows out of trust between a human and a horse.
