SYNOPSIS
영화비평가 도경은 오래전 친구의 단편영화를 찾고 있다. 남아 있는 자료가 없어 기억 속 장소들을 오가면서, 또 일을 하며, 영화가 상영되었던 극장들을 찾는다. 당시 메이킹 영상이 담긴 캠코더를 발견하고, 캠코더와 함께 현재와 과거를 오간다.
DIRECTING INTENTION
잊고 지냈던 먼 친구의 부고 소식을 뒤늦게 접했다. 얼마 되지 않는 그와의 사소한 기억들을 되짚어 가며 오랫동안 그를 생각했다. 얼마 뒤 한 오래된 극장이 철거되었다. 두 가지 일이 다르지 않게 느껴졌다. 언제나 불현듯 찾아오는 상실 앞에서 종종 무력해진다. 영화는 무엇을 할 수 있을까. 사라진 것들과 사라지지 않는 것들을 모아 영화의 형태가 되었다.

SYNOPSIS
Film critic Do-kyung searches for a long-lost short film by a late friend. With no records left, she goes back to remembered places and to the theaters where it once screened, all while working. When she finds an old camcorder holding footage from the shoot, it carries her back and forth between present and past.
DIRECTING INTENTION
Long after the fact, I learned that a friend I had lost touch with had died. For a long time I thought about him, going back over the few small memories we shared. Not long after, an old theater was torn down. The two felt the same. Loss always arrives without warning, and before it I often feel powerless. What can cinema do? Gathering what has vanished and what has not, this film took shape.
