DIRECTING INTENTION

SYNOPSIS
After leaving Myanmar amid political upheaval, Ko Thu arrives in Thailand in search of a temporary refuge. Parting ways with his traveling companion, he finds shelter in a small room offered by his friend Ko Wi. As he adjusts to unfamiliar surroundings, unexpected experiences begin to unsettle his daily life. Within the room’s confined walls, a place of refuge becomes a source of uncertainty. What awaits him inside the room?
DIRECTING INTENTION
This film, The Room, is both deeply personal and a reflection of the generation of young people in Myanmar who have chosen to resist military dictatorship in pursuit of freedom and justice. As the number of innocent lives lost continues to grow, those of us who remain alive often carry a profound sense of responsibility and unanswered questions. This story is born from that feeling of grief, survival, and the determination to keep moving forward. It is a reminder that the sacrifices of those we have lost must not be in vain, and that the struggle for a future free from oppression continues.
