SYNOPSIS
중학생 미연에게 동네의 중앙기원은 그녀의 유일한 안식처다. 그러나 기원 사장 명균은 시한부 선고를 받고, 기원은 폐업 위기에 놓이고, 기원 아르바이트생 지호는 다른 바둑학원의 입단 테스트를 제안한다.

바둑에는 ‘돌을 던진다’는 표현이 있다. 승산이 없다고 판단될 때 정중히 패배를 인정하는 행위. 불필요한 대국을 이어가지 않는 것. 그러나 인생에는 끝까지 한 수를 놓아야 하는 순간이 있다고 믿는다.

SYNOPSIS
For middle schooler Miyeon, the Jungang Baduk (Go) Club in her neighborhood is her only refuge. But when the owner Myungkyun receives a terminal diagnosis, the club faces closure, and Jiho, who works there part-time, proposes that Miyeon take an entrance test at another baduk academy.
DIRECTING INTENTION
In Baduk, there is an expression: “to throw the stone.” It means to concede with grace when the game is beyond winning — to stop prolonging what is already decided. But I believe there are moments in life that ask us to place one more stone, all the way to the end.
