SYNOPSIS

Hyeon-ji, an assistant producer for the YouTube channel Galaxy Man, shares an uneasy life in a low-rise apartment in Seoul with her boyfriend Ji-hyeon, an aspiring but unknown actor. As a nationwide medical crisis unfolds, Hyeon-ji is struck by the sudden death of her father, Dong-geon—a principled plastic surgeon specializing in reconstructive surgery. When a mysterious woman appears, Hyeon-ji begins to suspect she was involved with her father and sets out to uncover the truth.
Meanwhile, Ji-hyeon seizes the chance to audition for a major film, a role that could define his career. His parents run a junk shop in their hometown of Chuncheon, living a life that is sometimes rowdy but mostly happy. But when his mother, Kyeong-ja, is diagnosed with terminal cancer, Ji-hyeon confronts the harsh truths of life: an immature father, an indifferent emergency room, and an uncertain future. As he struggles to pursue his dream, the question looms: can he pass the audition of his dreams?
Confronted with the inescapable forces of life and death, Ji-hyeon and Hyeon-ji stay together by his mother’s sickbed, drawn into profound philosophical reflection and emotional upheaval. Within a world where existence and loss, necessity and chance, the fleeting and the eternal, and reality and fantasy unfold in symmetry, and caught in the web of relationships surrounding their families, the two support one another through love and understanding as they search for the true meaning of life.
