Rooted in interviews and diaries of real breeders, the story unfolds as a journey of inquiry between preservation and transformation. Through the breeder's experimental quest, the audience indirectly witnesses life being born, selected, refined, and extinguished. Interweaving AI-generated goldfish produced through LoRA-trained diffusion models with live-action footage shot inside fish tanks, the film reveals that biological breeding and algorithmic generation ultimately rest on the same logic: an aesthetic desire to select, classify, and render the rare permanent.
