SYNOPSIS

Eun-woo, Seung-woo, and Yun-young head to Cheorwon to trace the memory of Seung-woo’s father, ten years after his passing. In the cold of winter, Seung-woo walks them through his old home and shares his stories, from childhood memories to the strange, inexplicable entities he and his mother once witnessed together. They finally reach the Hantan River; after walking along the frozen riverbed for some time, Seung-woo stops and reveals that this is where he scattered his father’s ashes. The three of them fix their gaze upon the desolate trees, the rocks, and the frozen river. After Eun-woo returns from a support group for people bereaved by suicide, her boyfriend Hee-man finds the farewell letter she wrote there. When he angrily asks why he isn't in it, she doesn't know what to say. While helping Yun-young move into her new home, Seung-woo feels a strange sense of alienation and discomfort upon hearing that she has cut ties with her mother. Since returning from Cheorwon, he has wanted to talk to his family about his father. However, perhaps because of the ten years spent pretending it never happened, he finds himself unable to reveal the truth even to his fiancée, and time simply drifts by.
