SYNOPSIS
열 살 유진은 지구 반대편, 낯선 곳으로 보내졌다. 학교에서 일어난 사건으로 2주간 정학을 당하고, 돌아갈 곳은 ‘집’뿐인데. 자신을 믿지 않는 호스트 신디와 그 딸 줄리아, 그리고 우연히 만난 한국인 이웃 미아 사이에서 유진의 2주가 흘러간다.
DIRECTING INTENTION
여행자라는 뜻의 보이저(Voyager)는 낯선 누군가에게 닿기를 바라며 떠난 탐사선의 이름이기도 하다. 지구 반대편으로 보내진 열 살 아이는 외로운 이방인이지만, 낯선 세계를 탐험하는 여행자다. 그 여정에서 공간이 집이 되고, 타인이 가족이 되는 순간을 담고 싶었다.

SYNOPSIS
Ten-year-old Yoojin has been sent to a strange place on the other side of the world. Suspended from school for two weeks, she has nowhere to go but “home.” Caught between Cindy, a host who doesn’t believe her, Cindy’s daughter Julia, and Mia, a Korean neighbor she meets by chance, Yoojin’s two weeks slip by.
DIRECTING INTENTION
Voyager means a traveler, and it is also the name of a probe sent out in the hope of reaching someone unknown. The ten-year-old girl sent to the other side of the world is a lonely stranger, but also a traveler exploring an unfamiliar world. On that journey, I wanted to capture the moments when a place becomes home and strangers become family.
