삼승할망Old Woman And a Bird

SYNOPSIS

Against the piercing metallic sound of a drill, an elderly woman turns to look at us with a sorrowful expression. She then gently pats the shoulder of a woman silently weeping in bed, softly singing her a lullaby. Once the woman falls asleep, the elderly woman retrieves what appears to be a discarded fetus from a trash can at a gynecology clinic. She continues wandering through the city streets at night, the number of plastic bags in her hands steadily growing. At the end of her long journey, she arrives in the middle of a desolate field, where a new town relentlessly encroaches from the distance. There, she buries the abandoned fetuses, creating small burial mounds, and performs a salpuri dance to release their sorrowful spirits.
