SYNOPSIS
나는 꿈속에서 줄을 잡아당기는 사람이다. 어딘가로 초대되었지만 마련된 음식을 먹지 못한다. 위층에서 국물을 튀기며 쏟아지는 사람들을 목격하고, 누군가는 내게 부당한 심부름을 시킨다.
DIRECTING INTENTION
초여름에 부모님과 북유럽 패키지여행을 떠났다. 유명한 미술관을 가고 멋진 폭포를 보았지만 하루에 버스를 10시간씩 타는 일정이었다. 첫 도착지인 모스크바에서는 식탁 위에 닭도리탕이 나를 기다리고 있었다. 코펜하겐 해변에서는 등산복을 입은 한국인들이 가득했다. 끊임없이 이동해야 하며 도착지는 잠시 스쳐갈 뿐인 여행 일정에서 나는 장소성이 파괴되는 생경한 이미지들만 눈에 밟혔다. 요즘 나는 별일 없이 작업하며 살고 있지만 문득, 자꾸, 뭔가 잘못되었다는 생각이 든다. 목적지를 살펴볼 때마다 눈의 초점이 흐려진다. 난 어디로 가야 하나.

SYNOPSIS
I am the one pulling on strings in my dreams. I am invited somewhere, but I can not eat the food prepared. Upstairs, I witness people pouring soup on the floor, and somebody tries to make me do an unjust favor.
DIRECTING INTENTION
I went on a package tour with my parents in early summer. I went to a famous museum and saw a wonderful waterfall, but there were 10 hour bus rides per day. At my first destination, Moscow, Korean chicken stew was waiting for me on the table. Copenhagen Beach was full of Koreans in climbing gear. We had to move on constantly and stayed only for a brief moment at the destinations. As such, I was starting to see only images that did not have much to the “placeness” of the place. Nowadays I‘m fine, but sometimes something does not feel right. Every time I look at the destination, my sight becomes blurred. Where should I go to?
