SYNOPSIS
With only a few days left before vacation, Seo-jung fails to come up with a poem. His classmates threaten him that without the poem they might not be able to go on vacation. Seo-jung struggles to write poetry. By chance, he meets grandma on her way to the post office and the two engage in conversation. Will Seo-jung be able to complete his poem?
DIRECTING INTENTION
I wanted to talk about the desire to express feelings beyond words. The film has the following two goals: Seo-jung has to complete the poem in some way, and he has to throw way the anxiety and fear he has. Being with his grandmother, Seo-jung learns how to put down his burdens. I wanted to express the longing to break away from the conventional form of poetry, and illustrate the process Seo-jung goes through in building up his own world.
