DIRECTING INTENTION

‘Prostitution by the elderly as a means of living’ and ‘solitary deaths’ are prominent social issues in Korea. I wanted to tell a story about the desperate empathy between people eliminated from society. Suicide rate of senior citizens in Korea is among the highest in the world. Elderly people of poverty work until their dying days by selling their bodies to survive. Isolated from society, they die in solitary confinement.
