TIME TABLE
SYNOPSIS
Uncut trees stand beyond the undergrowth of rustling leaves. The lush, diverse spectrum of green undulates, and through it, the man heads somewhere, wandering and searching.
DIRECTING INTENTION
This film begins with the question: "What do human beings mean to a tree?", exploring the relationship between the forest and humanity through Tim Ingold’s concept of 'Correspondence.' It seeks to recognize trees not merely as setting, metaphor, or symbol, but as active subjects, attempting a transition from 'looking at' them to 'being with' them. Instead of following a conventional narrative, the film traces a unique set of sensations—the rhythm of walking, the direction of gaze, moments of suspended silence. Lying on the extension of continuous contemplation and exploration of natural existence, the work seeks to move beyond an anthropocentric perspective regarding the gap between human and non-human entities, searching for new aesthetic possibilities for ecological coexistence.
