Due to the fine dust and sand that have plagued South Korea, siblings Ji-sun and Jung-hwan are forced to live in the house only. One day, Ji-sun learns that a beggar has been watching their house. Ji-sun’s fear gets worse as days pass by, and she starts to show obsessive-compulsive behavior. Jung-hwan thinks that her sister is going crazy.

From some point that I couldn’t recognize, our country became murky. Fine dust blowing from China became concerns and fears deep inside our mind. What if in the near future, dust concentration suddenly increases to the level where we cannot maintain our normal daily lives? What would happen? People will be wearing gas masks everywhere and blocking doors and windows to keep dusts out of their residences. Eventually, interaction between people will decrease, not to mention conversation itself vanishing. In that situation if a “stranger” showed up, the fear stacked inside my mind would explode. I wanted to capture the fear of that specific moment.
