Il-Young got sentenced of murder 10 years ago to protect his mom and he came back to the island. The local people are trying to kick him out but Hwa-Yeon tries to get him back. Il-Young who is likely to explode in no time at all is just a child to her. Later on, Hwa-Yeon finds out that the man who drove his son to death is the same person who ruined Il-Young‘s life. She blames her self that if she did jut let the man get away with her son, Il-Young’s life wouldn‘t have been ended up like this. So, she makes up her mind to pay back instead of Il-Young. But, Il-Young is already going after the man.

The island of Yeong-do, located in Pusan, is called the shadow island. However, the original name was ‘Chul-Yeong-do’ and called the island cutting off the shadow It was renamed shortly after the liberation(1945), but unfortunately, Yeong-do has followed the meaning of changed name. So, I planned the film ' Rotary' hoping to return Yeong-do to Chul-Yeong-do. In this film, Il-Young and Hwa-Yeon as main characters are like Yeong-do and Chul-Yeong-do. He tries to pay back to the man who ruined his life. She makes up her mind to pay back instead of Il-Young. Because she blames herself that if she did just let the man get way with her son, Il-Young‘s life wouldn’t have been ended up like that.
