SYNOPSIS
This work expresses various colors of Korean culture using the double-print techniques. Through the colors, this experimental film goes beyond the cultural description to catch the historical context of those periods.
DIRECTING INTENTION
It all started from a rather global question of, what is the color of my country? Someone very early on spread the moniker that Korea is the Land of White, but anyone with eyes can see that no sensible Korean wears white, much less identifies with it. I began to explore color and this is my journal of that exploration. I saw the beautiful traditional clothes we put on our children, and their carefree smiles, and attempted to discover the color of our nation from there. That was thirty or so years ago, and as you can see, I've tried to resist form since then.
