The 29 nine-year-old Ji-hyun who aspires to get out of his hometown Chuncheon is on the last train back from Seoul where he had his job interview. On the train to Chuncheon, Ji-hyun sits next to a shady, middle-aged couple. The two stories that take place in Chuncheon revolve around the young aspirant and a couple that are looking to distract themselves from their routine lives.

I wanted to portray the current mindscapes of the two different generations, Korea’s younger generation and the older generation. I wanted to explore how similar or different they may be by setting them against an identical environment.
