SYNOPSIS

Hee-won went to Australia to work for an internship. Part-timing there, she meets numerous working holiday participants. When her contract is over, she has to decide whether she will go back to Korea or not. She hears some news about Australian farms and makes a team to leave for the wild so as to fulfill ‘the dream of Outback.

DIRECTING INTENTION

After the world economy has enterend a slow growth, the youth had to find the jobs to survive. is the only chance for the “Leftovers” and the “misfits” to start their new life before they get to their 30s. Hoping for their own “Outback Dreams”, 30,000 korean youngsters are leaving for Austraila each year to study English and make money. However, they soon face the harsh reality, that they are just a migrant worker who has lost their social base. They do realize the differences between the real life and the ideal world that they have been dreamt of. This film reveals the reality what the korean newbies face in day to day life in Austraila; and the illusion the working holiday portraies. Alongside the reversed culture shock when they return back to South Korea.
