SYNOPSIS
Minjae (17), a promising track star from an underprivileged background, has long endured unfair treatment despite her talent. When her frustration erupts, she accidentally injures her privileged rival and friend. Their coach (34), desperate to secure a promotion through bribes, seizes the moment: cover up the incident in exchange for illicit substitutions. “If you want to survive, choose!” With her rival gone, Minjae dominates the track, but as victories mount and the coach’s grip tightens, guilt begins to whisper. At seventeen, she faces her ultimate choice—between survival and integrity.
DIRECTING INTENTION
In an intensely competitive Korean society, underprivileged youth are constantly faced with impossible choices — to hold on to their convictions and lose everything, or to betray themselves in the pursuit of success. Tomorrow’s Min-Jae follows a young sprinter pushed to the margins due to the lack of social capital and support networks, portraying the harsh reality faced by a generation for whom the path to rightful success has been closed.
