SYNOPSIS
July 2010, A pilgrimage to the Nakdong River, organized by 'Authors' Statement 69' and titled 'Let a river run like a river', was held. It was attended by many poets, novelists, authors of children's book, artists, cartoonists and media activists. This film is the record of what they had seen and felt for 5 days on the road from Andong to Busan.
DIRECTING INTENTION
It could have been far later that I have visited the Nakdong River, if the '4 rivers development project' had not forced me to.
Setting off, I was anxious and fearful, imagining the vision of the destroyed river.
Coming back, however, carved onto my heart were the beautiful sight of the river that made me shed tears, the awe for the living creatures around it, and the shame that I had lived my life knowing almost nothing about rivers.
Stop crying out 'No 4 rivers project' just for a while, and go to a river.
And listen to the sounds it makes with your whole body and soul.
