SYNOPSIS
Teenage girl, Okju, her younger brother, and her dad begin to live together in their grandpa’s house. Okju’s aunt comes to visit from time to time. There, Okju spends one of the most important times of her childhood. Moments of unforgettable love, hurt and partings make their proper marks on Okju’s life. The film tells a story of a family and illustrates the house they stay in. Okju’s presence is that of an observer during this time, after which she overcomes her loss and takes a leap.
DIRECTING INTENTION
On the way back home after a night study at school, one of my friends started telling a story of her family. Other friends joined in the conversation, sharing the problems they each had within their families. Hearing their stories, I felt a sense of relief, as they assured me that it wasn’t just my family that had problems. However, I failed to tell the story of my own then. I’m dedicating this film, ten years later, as a response to the conversation of that evening.
