On December 23, 1993, the 100th Wednesday Demonstration by former "comfort women" takes place in front of the Japanese Embassy. The gathered survivors of forced military sexual slavery and representatives of the Korean Council for the Women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan demand punishment of those responsible and payment of compensation. After August 1994, the film documents the House of Sharing, where six former "comfort women", Kim Soon-deok, Park Ok-ryeon, Lee Young-sook, Park Doo-ri, Kang Deok-kyung, and Song Pan-im live together. The elderly women attend various forums and public hearings, striving to resolve their issues. Though they sometimes have disagreements, they live together, learning to paint, and sharing their painful memories.
