SYNOPSIS
The keepers are kept busy with the animals under their care. These animals, although some may haven't completely lost their innate instincts, are unlikely to survive if released back to the wild. It'd be difficult for them to live in packs and find food on their own. Ultimately, the zoo may well be the new habitat that they must adapt themselves to live in.
DIRECTING INTENTION
'Garden, zoological' is the story of animals and their caregivers at Cheongju Zoo. The zoo animals spend their lifetime confined in a space that is much smaller than their natural habitat. Aside from poor living condition, the animals also face the risk of having no where else to go. Some even propose that all zoos must be shut down, but the truth is that there aren’t many places left in this world to sustain their lives.
