The tenth film project on human rights by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea. PARK Jung-bum's [Dear Du-han] explores relating to the handicapped, SHIN A-ga & LEE Sang-cheol's [Bong-gu on Delivery] turns the camera on the elderly, and MIN Yong-keun's [Ice River] looks at conscientious objection to military service.

Through the friendship shared between two junior high students, I wanted to tell a story that could make people think about what “disability” is and how to overcome it.
The issues regarding the care for the senior citizens cannot be properly resolved without changing the fundamental perspectives about senior citizens. What is most problematic? What kind of deficiency in our society makes it most difficult for the senior citizens? Those are the questions I wanted to address.
The wish of the “people who do not take up guns” is to perform the national obligation in another way that does not involve holding a gun. However, they are still condemned by many preconceptions, misunderstandings, and ignorance. This is a story about a mother and her son who are standing on the ice river that seems like it will ever melt.
