This is the story of wife and husband in their early thirties; Jung-yung, the wife, works as librarian. Jae-bum, the husband, is a writer. Jung-yung always set the table before she goes out for work for her husband who works at home. However, their everyday lives don't seem as happy as those of their good old days. They quarrel about having child. Jae-bum locks the door and refuses any talk with his wife. He even refuses to eat meals prepared by Jung-yung. After all, Jung-yung eats heavily every night and sleeps alone. Though they live together under one roof, they don't communicate with each other any more. One night, Jung-yung hears telephone rings, which breaks the long-lasted silence in their house. But this sound is from her husband's room, and his voice is so cheerful as if he were talking with a woman. Jung-yung then tries hard to talk with her husband, but Jae-bum doesn't answer. She hesitates for a while, and then she opens the door. In the room, she sees a catastrophe. What she sees is a big bug! After that night, Jung-yung feeds the bug instead of her husband. But the bug eats only her excreta... Preparing meals for the bug, Jung-yung changes slowly into a closed woman, but the bug goes more active. Too tired physically and mentally, she finally kills the bug.

I came to write this script when I was thinking about one side of human relationship. Our everyday action of eating will be impossible if we are not related with anyone else. I think eating is a direct action revealing a route or a side of human relationship. In this film, the actions of eating and feeding are repeated obsessively. Maybe it would be a narrow-minded way of showing that sense of relationship... But nevertheless, I wanted to express that side of relationship so directly. My intension was to show both the banal role and the extreme reaction of woman/individual in her/his difficult situation.
