The name of 'Chunhee' means 'Spring and delight'. Maid Wolryeong sees Lady Chunhee's future in a ripple in a cup of red tea and glass of a clock. Waves roar in the sea, a song reaches one's ears and strange sound from machines falls on one's ears. The movie overlaps the present time of year 1926 and the past time of 1933, and it shows one day of Lady Chunhee in the future that maid Wolryeong sees with her ability to foresee the future.

The most important themes of the movie 'Chunhee' include strange-looking world of the screen seen by Wolryeong who has no clue about what cinema is and tragic life of Chunhee who could not perceive what her life would be even though she'd already been heard about that. The film was focused on ray of light and sound of wind to highlight its themes including film, destiny and time.
