Mohwa, living with her deaf dauther, Nang-Yi, has been practicing shaman entire life. One day, her son Wook-Yi returns home but as a converted christian. This sparks a conflict between Wook-Yi and his mother Mohwa, driving the family into tragedy. Nang-Yi leaves this tragedy into a painting called “The shaman sorceress”

Different religions still clash against each other all so often around the world. The film explores why people rely on religions and the meaning of it by telling a story of an indigenous religion and an external religion having a conflict within a family. I tried to keep a perspective of the original literature, and simultaneously, visualized a different style to exemplify.
