It is early morning at a labor market where day laborers look for a job. A man with his leg limped cannot find a job until dawn. Byungman suggests splitting his wage in half, offering the half to work with the man. The two arrive on an overpass where they build reversible lanes. A beer can with a bill is thrown from a running car as if someone laughed at the silent workers, and the two argue over the bill to get it. The film contrasts an activist who dreams of social change but fails with a worker who lives selfishly and survives tenaciously.
