SYNOPSIS

The lifelong dream of Yeongchun, a Korean War veteran, is to be buried in the National Cemetery. But the nation he fought for is unwilling to give him that honor.

DIRECTING INTENTION

During my grandfather's funeral in 2019, as my father was attaching the national flag to my grandfather's casket, I wondered what he silently shared with his father. This film is about a father who wanted to stand proudly in front of his family, the misunderstandings between them, and their true feelings that remained unspoken in the midst of it all.
