A documentary about 90-year-old KIM Mal-hae who never gives up on life even on the threshold of death. The film depicts tragic moments in Korean society starting with the National Bodo League Massacre and the more recent struggle against the building of transmission towers in Miryang, revealing the sometimes silent and sometimes defiant personal struggle of one elderly woman. "If only I could read, then my life would have a beginning and end" is the start of what will be Mal-hae's first and last confession.

I met Mal-hae while I worked on a archive project called Live in Miryang that anti-nuclear activists or people who support their movement interviewed villagers who live in Miryang where the transmission towers from the nuclear plants would pass through. First I was big impressed her overwhelming charisma. She said strongly and had no hesitation to criticize the government plan. But soon after it, I got surprised on her history. But the reason why I decided to make this film was really small thing: she is illiterate.
One day, she showed me one page of newspaper about her. Her life story was introduced in a full page. But she just fixed a glare on it. Then suddenly she folded it and carefully put it into the drawers. She treated it as old precious antiques at her home. At that moment, I felt a deep sorrow. What would she feel when she couldn't read her story? It moved my mind and decided to make this film. Though she can’t read, still she can watch her story. In the end, I might be a ghostwriter that tells her story. This film will faithfully record and trace different attempts to record her life (picture diary / voice recording / video recording).
