SYNOPSIS

2008ⅠFictionⅠColorⅠHDVⅠ23min 30sec There is a lonely old man living in an old apartment in Seoul. His wife passed away a year ago. On the first anniversary of his wife's death, he decides to commit suicide and prepares the table for his last dinner. Se-yeon, a laundrywoman, visits his apartment at the moment, and the old man invites her to dinner. The two have dinner together.

DIRECTING INTENTION

We have been concealing cruel indifference in the name of 'leniency' and 'privacy' from some time or another. A sign on an apartment door reading, 'There is a baby sleeping. Don't make loud noise,' shows how indifferent to our neighbors we are. I want to discuss this bitterness of reality. An old man, who is wearing normal shirt and smoking cigarette with strong alcohol smell, could be a father who lost his daughter. And an old man, who asked your name once, could be preparing for his death when he does his laundry.
