One year after being laid off from the factory, Jeung Bae now works as a taxi driver. Working the night shifts, he sleeps during the day. He is not working today because the taxi union is on strike. Thinking that his daughter (Hye Ahn) wants to play the piano, he joins her a piano lesson. Comforting himself with the thought that he finally did something good for his daughter, he overcomes regrets of not joining the union's picketing.

This story betrays the agony of laid off workers and their families. And how the fight for reinstatement of the laid off workers left a deep scar on their body and mind. Now that a year has passed, they're struggling to recover from their scars. How can they overcome bitter ordeals of their own destiny so they can manage to live?
