SYNOPSIS
From October 2005 to February 2006, The House Living Together whose motto is "The Homeless' Production Community Creating Hope", had members who occupied to live in n empty house located in Jeongreung, Seoul. Providing free meals service, the members of the House Living Together were in spirits with determination and hope to return to the society on their own. However, after one relentlessly cold winter, certain things with the House Living Together changed significantly.
DIRECTING INTENTION
To lose a house to live in Korean society means to lose a job, hopes and even self-respect. Observing the homeless who wanted to maintain hopes by occupying an empty house over a year, it is reminded that human rights (or human dignity) are not about any subject matter but an attitude. Once there was a time "what to do" mattered. Now it is the time "how to do"matters. Shifting the focus in this way, we may be able to give a proper answer to a question of "why we do".
