The main character, Nozomi, runs into her old friend, Hiroto, at a café. Hiroto shows disgust for Nozomi who consults with him on her marriage with a Korean resident of Japan. At the same time, at the next table, Sato and Toshiko, a couple who just got to know each other, are being friendly with each other. Even though they are friendly at first, as Toshiko starts talking about Korean dramas, Sato gradually shows disgust for her. In the rain, the café starts being darker inside. And then an incident occurs

In Japan, there are old and new discriminations against Koreans resident of Japan. The old discrimination comes from the colonial rule in the past. The new discrimination comes from effects of today’s global economy and nationalism. These days, as relationships among Japan, South Korea and North Korea worsen, the discriminations against Korean resident of Japan are becoming radicalized. In 2013, anti-foreign demonstrations and hate-speeches were held often in Korean town in Japan. This work illustrates my concerns and anger toward such situations.
