Gangjeong Village located at the southernmost part of eju Island’s Seogwipo City is in the true sense a ‘breathtaking land of water’. In this film, eight directors independently yet collaboratively orchestrate a clever and humorous “mission” at this place where the groundwork for building a naval military base is in progress.

The more the issues come up, the more the people heat up. Thus, we become short-sighted sometimes. Many people blame themselves for finding it difficult (or unbearable) to stay with those in need and so try to keep away from them, contrary to their warm hearts. That is similar with how the independent filmmakers who were busy working on their own projects saw the fight against expansion of a U.S. military base in the beautiful coastal village, Gangjeong, Jeju in Korea. How about gathering the warm hearts altogether and play 'jam session' like exchanging works? That's how "Jam Docu GANGJEONG" started over. This documentary is a small gesture of participation thrown towards the society, which is made of the 8 filmmakers' best concerns.
